Bobby Bowden apologizes for Jameis Winston comments

-

Bobby Bowden upset many Florida State Seminoles fans with his comments that former quarterback Jameis Winston was “an embarrassment to the university.”

Since then, Bowden tried to clear up his comments, but now he has decided to apologize.

During an appearance on The Dan Le Batard Show, Bowden discussed the comments made to Paul Finebaum and he claimed that he feels awful about the way the comments came out.

Now, hopefully this can all be water under the bridge.

With all that Bobby Bowden has done for Florida State, let’s hope the fans will come around and continue to support him.

  1. So, Jameis Winston is an “embarrassment to the university ” ? This comes from a coach that, under his leadership, has had to forfeit games (more than once) for using ineligible players, had one kicked off the team for gambling problems, has seen grand theft charges against two of his players, and has had illegally carrying a gun charges against another. Of course we can’t forget big Foot Locker scandal in the early 1990’s, and the dozens of players being involved in the academic cheating scandal of 2007. “Saint Bowden was caught many times. Winston hasn’t been charged of any crime.
