One thing we know is that speed kills. It is one attribute that you cannot teach and teams drool over a player who can sprint down the field with a time that makes you do a double-take on your stopwatch.
Because of that, NFL scouts will be looking to identify the fastest playesr in college football as soon as possible so they can do their research before the NFL Scouting Combine — when that speed will be on full display.
Luckily, they have some help.
Two of the top five players come from the TCU Horned Frogs, while the California Golden Bears, Oregon Ducks and Florida State Seminoles are also represented.
Here is how the top five looks:
Kolby Listenbee, WR, TCU
Devon Allen, WR, Oregon
Khalfani Muhammad, RB, California
Cameron Echols-Luper, CB, TCU
Levonte “Kermit” Whitfield, WR, Florida State
