The work of a college football coach never seems to stop. It also seems that Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema is fitting in just fine with the university’s athletic programs. Bielema proved that Saturday afternoon when he was in Omaha to cheer on the Razorbacks baseball team as they participate in their first College World Series since 2015.
According to College Spun, Bielema was not only there to cheer on his team, but he seems to have embraced the Fayetteville culture quite nicely. He was seen on video leading the Arkansas faithful in their famous “Woo Pig Sooie” chants at the tailgate party prior to Saturday’s Game One against the Virginia Cavaliers.

The Razorbacks went 33-20 in the regular season and advanced to the semifinals of the SEC Tournament before falling to eventual champions, Florida. Unfortunately for the #OmaHogs, even Coach Bielema couldn’t help lead them to victory in the CWS. The Razorbacks fell to the Wahoos 5-3 and now sit just one game away from elimination.
The Razorbacks await the loser of Miami and Florida in tonight’s Game Two. The Loser’s Bracket game will take place on Monday at 3 p.m. Hopefully Bielema doesn’t travel too far from Omaha and will help rally the troops once more.
