Urban Meyer brings championship trophy on stage at concert

On Saturday afternoon, the 2015 Country Superfest made a stop in Columbus at Ohio State’s Horseshoe stadium. Among the visitors to the festival were famous country acts like Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, and of course, Urban Meyer and the 2015 College Football Playoff national championship trophy.

In a gaggle of pictures and videos that surfaced online, the Buckeyes coach made a surprise appearance during Rascal Flatts’s performance and he brought a special piece of hardware onto stage with him…the national championship trophy.

Shouldn’t somebody remind him of the time Billy Donovan dropped the national championship trophy in front of a big crowd?

Of course, most of the people in the stadium are Buckeyes fans. Naturally, they all went crazy upon seeing Meyer on the stage. People absolutely love this guy, but honestly how could you not?

Since his arrival in Columbus, he has led the Buckeyes to three straight seasons of at least twelve wins. During his first year, the team went 12-0, but due to NCAA sanctions, the team could not play in the post season.

Meyer is so loved by the people in the state of Ohio, he could show up to a championship celebration in his underwear and he would still get cheered.
