Kentucky, Arizona State heading to the Bahamas

What I wouldn’t give to be a college basketball player sometimes. It must be nice being able to go overseas to places like the Bahamas. Now, I realize that these guys are going over there to work, play, and win a basketball game, but they are going to one of the hottest vacation spots around. You can’t tell me that these guys aren’t going to have a little fun while they are there.

According to College Basketball Talk, the Arizona State Sun Devils and Kentucky Wildcats will be playing a game against each other on November 28, 2016 in Nasssau. The game will take place in the Imperial Ballroom at the Atlantis Resort.

The Wildcats are familiar to this spot as they played six games there last August. This is also the same place where the Battle 4 Atlantis takes place every year. The game in the Bahamas will be the second of a two-game series that starts this season at Rupp Arena.

“We are thrilled to return to the Bahamas in 2016 to play Arizona State,” Kentucky coach John Calipari said in the release. “The Bahamas bring back a lot of good memories for our team.

It was there we built the foundation for our unforgettable 2014-15 season. I have a ton of respect for Coach Bobby Hurley and believe he’s going to take Arizona State to the next level. A great opponent coupled with a beautiful setting after the holiday weekend should make this an unbelievable trip for our fans.”

The Wildcats and Sun Devils are plenty excited for their trip to the Islands, but I really question one thing about this situation. How come Kentucky gets a true home game, but Arizona State does not? I guess that’s the price you pay when you play the best.
