It was just a few weeks ago that Duke basketball star Jahlil Okafor was taken third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA Draft. He just started to arrive and meet all the rest of the players on the team.
College Spun shared an Instagram photo of Okafor being welcomed to the team by former Kansas star Joel Embiid. The last two first round picks of the 76ers had a meeting of the minds and it looked pretty awesome.

Embiid was taken third overall, just like Okafor, in last year’s draft. Many people didn’t think highly of the 76ers’ pick of Embiid because of an injury he had been dealing with. Embiid had surgery just days before the draft that was said to keep him out four to six months. He missed the entire 2014-15 season.
Embiid had a setback in his recovery and now it is unclear whether or not he will be ready for the season this year either. Having not played a minute on the court in the NBA, Embiid and Okafor will hopefully be able to show off their skills this season.
