Subway’s Jared in connection with child pornography

In what has become a very disturbing development, Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle’s home has been raided by federal authorities in connection with a child pornography investigation. The raid on his Indiana home happened early Tuesday morning.

Fox 59 in Indianapolis reported the raid and said that officials were serving arrest warrants on Fogle. Fogle’s lawyer Ron Elberger released a statement on the raid and said he was not aware of any warrants made by the FBI.

“Jared has been cooperating with law enforcement and its investigation of certain unspecified activities and looks forward to its conclusion. Jared has not been arrested, detained or charged with anything.”

Earlier this year, Russell Taylor, former director of the Jared Foundation, was arrested in a child pornography case. He was accused of possessing and producing child pornography. There is reason to believe that this raid is in connection with Taylor’s arrest.

A Subway spokesperson also released a statement on the raid stating that they are “concerned” and are “monitoring the situation.”

We are shocked about the news and believe it is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and will be monitoring the situation closely. We don’t have any more details at this point.

This could be a huge misunderstanding, but right now no one can assume anything. All the facts must be in place before anything can be decided. I hope that this doesn’t turn out to be true with Fogle, but the law must run its course right now.
