When high school athletes sign to play with top-tier programs like Kentucky, you can almost bet they are shooting for the NBA just a year later. That is the case with Kentucky’s number two signee from Haiti, Skal Labissiere.
The Nike Hoop Summit is an annual all-star game where NBA hopefuls can show off their skills to NBA scouts. Labissiere was one of the players at the event this weekend and his highlight reel was pretty impressive.
The six-foot-eleven Labissiere made a name for himself in the game as he led Team World to a 103-101 victory. He led the entire field of players with an impressive six blocks.
Labissiere was the number on center in the country and the number two overall player in the country for the class of 2015. He attended Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis, Tennessee for one year before signing with the Wildcats.
Could John Calipari have another number one draft pick on his hands? We will just have to wait and see.
