Jordan Parker announces decommitment from UCLA

The UCLA football team got some bad news in regards to their 2016 recruiting class when four-star cornerback Jordan Parker announced his decommitment from the school on Wednesday evening. This decision comes after he announced he would take some official visits at The Opening in Oregon last week.

Bleacher Report shared Parker’s tweet that announced his decommitment from the Bruins late Wednesday evening. He thanked the Bruins coaching staff for making him feel at home with the team.

It seemed as though the thirteenth-ranked corner of 2016 had made his decision back in April, but he is now open to all new offers. He currently has six offers all from Pac-12 schools. Erik McKinney noted that Parker said he would be making official visits while at The Opening via Twitter.

Parker would have certainly helped the Bruins on the defensive side of the ball next season. He recorded five interceptions during his junior year at Pittsburg Senior High School in Pittsburg, California.

The Bruins open the 2015 season at home against Virginia on September 5.
