The NC State Wolf Pack were easily one of the biggest Cinderella stories in the NCAA Tournament last season. The team made a huge comeback to knock off LSU in the first round and shocked the one-seeded Villanova Wildcats to advance to their second Sweet Sixteen in four seasons under Mark Gottfried.
The Wolf Pack look to make another run in the NCAA Tournament in the 2015-16 season and their non-conference schedule seems to be set up in their favor.
Pack Insider released the team’s non-conference slate for the upcoming season and they potentially have match-ups with seven teams who participated in the postseason last year before they get into conference games.
The Wolf Pack open the season against William & Mary, who won an impressive twenty games last season. They then host IUPUI and South Alabama as part of the Legends Classic that wraps up in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. There, they have go up against Arizona State and either Marquette or a rematch with LSU.
The Pack kicks off December with the ACC/Big Ten Challenge when they host the Michigan Wolverines on December 1. The team will then have mid-December match-ups with South Florida in Tampa Bay and Missouri in Columbia.
