If the rivalry between the Louisville Cardinals and Kentucky Wildcats wasn’t already pretty big, it just got a little bigger. One 2016 commit found out what the rivalry means when he committed to the Cardinals on Thursday.
According to College Spun, three-star wide receiver Keion Wakefield made his decision to stay in his hometown at a ceremony at his high school on Thursday. Wakefield chose Louisville over the Wildcats as well as Purdue and Indiana.

Talk about a rivalry.
Wakefield is the sixth ranked player in the state of Kentucky and will surely be a big pick-up for the Cardinals. As if the Wildcats needed another reason to hate Louisville.
The Cardinals go on the road to play Kentucky in the final game this season on November 28.
