I would advise any future Michigan Wolverine fans that if they are to meet an Ohio State legend, take a picture with him, but don’t try to put a Michigan hat on his head. One Big Blue fan found that out when he met former Buckeye Eddie George on Thursday.
College Spun shared the picture that Michigan fan Gerald Blanc shared to his Instagram account. Everything seemed to be okay with the fan and George, but Blanc explained that he tried to put his Michigan hat on the Heisman Trophy winner’s head and “he knocked it out” of his hand.
MICHIGAN WOLVERINES.. 2015 BTN BIG 10K GRAND MARSHALL THIS YEAR IS 🚫HI🚫 STATE EDDIE GEORGE. NOW, I MADE IT CLEAR TO EDDIE I DONT LIKE 🚫HI🚫 STATE. I EVEN TRIED TO PUT MY BLOCKM CAP ON HIM (HE KNOCKED IT OUT OF MY HAND).. DESPITE THE FACT I DONT LIKE WHO HE PLAYED FOR BUT, EDDIE GEORGE IS A LEGEND. THATS JUST A FACT! 4 PROBOWL BIDS AND NFL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR SOLIDIFIED THAT.. OF COURSE WE KNOW THE RUNNING BACK WON THE HEISMAN TROPHY… HE REALLY IS A GOOD GUY.. STILL GO BLUE🔵🔵 #goblue #eddiegeorge #legend #heisman #probowl #explore #blockm #michiganwolverines #Michigan #lifeofarunner #bigtennetwork #bigten #runningissues #lifeofarunner #B1GTEN #beatosu #letsgoblue #runchi #leadersandbest #mymich #mpire #victors #bigtenrace
George was in town for Saturday’s Big 10K race, so he will not only meet Michigan fans over this weekend, but he will also meet fans of other rival schools all over the conference. Hopefully there isn’t a Spartan fan that wants him to wear a green and white jersey and take a picture in it.
It’s nice to see that George is keeping the rivalry alive even nearly three decades after he left the school.
