Michigan fans wrote, sang custom songs to Jim Harbaugh

Michigan fans are really excited for Jim Harbaugh to be back home and coaching their football team into the future. They are so excited that when he attended a luncheon at the Ann Arbor Rotary, fans had a pair of custom songs ready to go that they were more than prepared to sing.

College Spun shared a short clip of Harbaugh’s speech at the luncheon and also had a small note of the lyrics that the fans sang to the coach. The songs were “Happy Days Are Here Again” and “Hey, Look Me Over!”, but they were rewritten to appease to the coach.

Harbaugh must feel very honored to have the fans be so accepting of him and having not even coached a game yet. But with a track record like his (two Pioneer Football League championships at San Diego, an Orange Bowl win at Stanford, and three straight NFC Championship appearances with the San Francisco 49ers) and the fact that the Wolverines just got out of a horrible relationship with Brady Hoke, it’s really not hard to see why they love him so much.

It is surely going to be an interesting season when the Wolverines take the field in Utah to play the Utes on September 5.
