Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook was one of the student-athlete representatives at this week’s Big Ten Media Days. Cook has been slated as one of the top quarterbacks in the country this year and was even selected to the Big Ten’s 11-strong “Players to Watch” list as the long quarterback.
He knew he would be bombarded with questions on Saturday and he was ready to answer them with a smile. One question, however, left him with a scowl rather than a grin.
According to College Spun, Cook was asked how he would fair in Ohio State’s quarterback competition if he were in it. Apparently, that wasn’t the best thing to ask a quarterback for a huge rival school on the defending national champions.
That was probably the nicest thing Cook could have done. At least other reporters at the event got a nice laugh about the exchange.
We will get to see how Cook will fair against the Buckeyes when they meet up on November 21.
