There is a little thing called overkill and I don’t think the Miami Hurricanes know what it is. That could not be more clear with the look of their official scholarship offer letter they sent out Saturday.
College Spun shared a photo of the letter the Hurricanes send to their recruits and they look to be a bit much. They are laden with catchphrases from “It’s all about The U” to “SWAG.”
Maybe it’s just me, but this isn’t very appealing. Maybe some of Miami’s recruits actually like the jumbled mess all over the place, but I just think it is way too busy.
If it helps the Hurricanes get back to football prominence, then so be it. They certainly do need the help considering they haven’t won a conference championship since 2003 when they were still in the now defunct Big East. The team also won a national championship in 2001.
Fans will get to see if it works for them when the Hurricanes take the field September 5 against Bethune-Cookman.
