If you didn’t think that Cardale Jones wanted to continue being the starting quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes, then you are sadly mistaken. He proved that after he retweeted a “Retweet this if you want Cardale Jones to be the starting quarterback” tweet on Tuesday morning.
College Spun shared the original tweet that showed off some of Jones’s highlights en route to the national championship in 2014. If you have somehow forgotten, Jones was the third string quarterback before coming in for an injured JT Barrett in the Michigan game and leading his team through the Big Ten Championship game and the College Football Playoff.
Here is the original tweet.

Nothing has been decided yet, but Jones’s path to the starting role got a lot easier after Braxton Miller switched from quarterback to H-back in July. The Buckeyes enter camp in a few days, so there’s a chance fans could learn who the starter will be within the next week.
Ohio State opens the season on the road in Blacksburg, Virginia to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies, the last team to beat the Buckeyes.
