Videos: FSU basketball team preparing for dunk contest

The Florida State basketball team has been hard at work preparing for its annual “Seminole Madness” event. This event is for fans to come out and enjoy themselves while watching the team compete in a series of competitions.

One competition that is usually everyone’s favorite is the dunk contest. The players are preparing for that contest by showing off some unique dunks on their social media accounts.

College Spun shared two videos of freshman Malik Beasley and sophomore Phil Cofer showing off some pretty impressive dunks. Hopefully, these dunks are just the tip of the iceberg for what fans will get to see in a few weeks.

If you think back to last season, Cofer was the same Seminole that threw down a monster dunk on former Duke Blue Devil Jahlil Okafor. It looks like he is preparing to do that to someone else this season.

I couldn’t even dunk a basketball, let alone doing it in penny loafers. That is pretty impressive. It looks like the Seminole Madness will be fun to watch this year.

Let’s hope the regular season is as fun as the preseason has been. The Seminoles open the season when they host Nicholls State on November 15.
