From being the number one overall pick in the draft to dropping out of the second round, Penn State star quarterback Christian Hackenberg has heard it all about his future with the NFL. Apparently, he is tired of hearing about it and would prefer if the media would stop speculating and let him play football.
Hackenberg held a press conference this morning to make a few things abundantly clear to the media. First and foremost, he doesn’t want to be asked any questions about his future unless it involves the 2015 Penn State season.

While it is a nice thing to desire, it is nearly impossible that Hackenberg won’t hear questions regarding the NFL Draft during his senior season. I can understand why he would want to avoid being asked those questions as they can be a distraction from what is actually happening on the field, but I don’t expect the questions to Hackenberg to stop at any point in the future.
The only time he stops hearing the questions about the NFL Draft will be when he is actually drafted. Sorry, Christian, but I wish all the best in trying to get the media to respect your wishes.
Penn State opens the season on September 5 when they host Temple.
