Cleveland Cavaliers playing preseason game at Ohio State

Lebron James is going to college! Well, not exactly. James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will be, however, playing a preseason NBA game at Ohio State’s arena.

College Spun reported that the defending Eastern Conference Champions will be playing the ever-dangerous Memphis Grizzlies in an exhibition game at the Schottenstein Center this preseason. This is probably going to break attendance records for an NBA preseason game.

James, as many basketball fans know, never went to college. He was drafted number one overall by the Cavaliers straight out of high school in 2003, making him the only high school player from Ohio to be drafted to the NBA.

James is from Akron, so it is easy to believe that he grew up an Ohio State Buckeye fan. It is also easy to believe that almost the entire city of Akron will make a trip to Columbus to see their beloved hometown hero play in a game that tickets are pretty easy to come by.

The Grizzlies can expect a lot of Buckeye fans to cheer them on as well as they are led by former Buckeye point guard Mike Conley. This game is surely going to be an interesting one as both teams are expected to be among the premiere teams in their respective conferences.
