On Tuesday evening, the Duke Blue Devils released the first episode of their new series called “Summer Grind” featuring Brandon Ingram. The team’s latest episode features senior Marshall Plumlee and it is clear that the team has already put its national championship they won in April behind them.
College Spun shared the video as it follows Plumlee’s journey through his final summer as a college basketball player. He talked about how coach Mike Krzyzewski has pushed his team to leave the past in the past and focus on the future. Plumlee also talked about his training with the Army after he graduated from the ROTC program earlier this summer.
As a Duke fan myself, I am ecstatic that the team has been able to forget about the national championship from last season and move into the 2015-16 season with a clear mind. Duke is essentially a whole new team after Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, Justise Winslow, and Quinn Cook were all either drafted or signed with an NBA team this summer.
The Blue Devils open the season on November 13 when they host Siena.
