The Duke Blue Devils have been hard at work this summer and they have shown that off by releasing videos called “Summer Grind”. The first two episodes featured five-star guard Brandon Ingram and Marshall Plumlee.
The third episode was released and shared by College Spun Friday afternoon and this time it features another member of Duke’s top-ranked 2015 recruiting class. Five-star power forward Chase Jeter got his chance to show just how hard he has been working this summer.
One thing Jeter said that rings true more than anything else is that this Duke team is very young. Along with Jeter and Ingram, the Blue Devils have freshmen Luke Kennard and Derryck Thornton on the roster this season. You can expect to see all four get a bunch of playing time.
However, Duke went into the 2014-15 season with four freshmen. Three of those, Jahlil Okafor, Justise Winslow, and Tyus Jones, all left to the NBA while Grayson Allen still remains and expects to see a lot of floor time this year.
This team still has a lot of potential to be one of the best in the country again and there is no reason why this team can’t get back to the Final Four and play for a sixth championship in 2016.
The Blue Devils open the season on November 13 when they host Siena.
