Former Virginia Tech Hokie cornerback CJ Reavis’s time is officially up in Blacksburg. While his career in the FBS is not over, it will be temporarily put on hold as he makes his way to the ranks of junior colleges to start his career over.
According to College Football Talk, Reavis made the decision to transfer after he lost his appeal to be reinstated at Virginia Tech. He posted an emotional message about his decision via Twitter earlier this week.
While it is unfortunate that Reavis had to leave the FBS, he is landing at one of the more successful football programs in recent history. The East Mississippi Lions have won the NJCAA Football Championship the last two years, so Reavis will certainly help the team out for the next two seasons.
