Oregon glow-in-the-dark jersey is ‘just a poster’

On Monday evening, a picture of a glow-in-the-dark football jersey began to make the rounds on social media. You wouldn’t be surprised if I told you that the jersey belonged to the Oregon Ducks. They have had some pretty out-there designs in past seasons.

However, you will be probably be surprised to learn that the jerseys will not be put into production and the picture was just a poster hyping up the football season. College Spun reported the news on Tuesday.

Hey look, some great graphic design work on a POSTER… #GlowDucks https://t.co/9LzhEAUCjV

Aww, man. And here, I thought we could be seeing another ridiculous design in Autzen Stadium this year.

Really? Did anyone think this was going to be a good idea? I don’t know how many of you know this, but these would only work in complete darkness.

So, unless the Ducks are going to go back a few years and play in the Superdome during the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers SuperBowl, we can forget about these jerseys actually flying.
