Dismissed Penn State LB Daiquan Kelly headed to UMass

One Penn State linebacker’s career in State College is over before it even begins. 2015 signee Daiquan Kelly was dismissed from the team last week for a violation of team rules. It did not take long for him to find a new home.

According to College Spun, Kelly has signed with the UMass Minutemen for the 2015 season. The report comes from Braulio Perez of NJ.com via Twitter.

Kelly, who was the ninth ranked player in the state of New Jersey for the 2015 recruiting class, will be eligible to play immediately due to him being an incoming freshman. The Minutemen will certainly benefit from Kelly’s speed this season.

UMass opens the 2015 season on September 12 when they play on the road in Boulder against the Colorado Buffaloes.
