Vernon Adams has message for fans, critics before test

Oregon hopeful quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. is taking his math final at Eastern Washington today. He must pass that class in order to graduate and be able to transfer to the Ducks to play this season.

He was doing what any other college student does before a big final: cramming. He took a break to post a message to Instagram that addressed both his fans and critics. College Spun shared the emotional message.

If he is able to go to Eugene, the Ducks need to know that they have one heck of a humble quarterback. He knows that he has people who look down on him and he is motivated by that.

Oregon also knows that they have the possibility of getting a terrific quarterback to lead them this season. During his time with the Eagles, Adams threw for 10,438 yards, 110 touchdowns and 31 interceptions. He also rushed 1,232 yards and 11 touchdowns. If those aren’t Marcus Mariota type numbers, I don’t what is.

The Ducks open the 2015 season on September 5 when they host Adams’ former school Eastern Washington.
