Former Spartans, now 49ers, Texans took picture together

Michigan State has a rich tradition of putting players into the NFL. If you don’t believe me, all you have to do is ask head coach Mark Dantonio. You could also look at the picture quarterback Connor Cook took off some of the players in the league.

College Spun shared a photo of former Spartans that are now playing for both the San Francisco 49ers and the Houston Texans. The two teams played each other in a preseason game, but the players came together for a pretty epic picture prior to the game.

Cool to see this many SpartansDawgs in one NFL game! #GoGreen

This is just a fraction of Michigan State players currently in the NFL. Currently, thirty-one Spartans play in the NFL and I’m sure there will be tons more in the next few seasons.

I’m sure Cook will be joining the former players as he is currently ranked as one of the top prospects in the NFL Draft next May.
