It was a pretty big shock around the basketball world after ESPN ranked the Maryland Terrapins the number one team in the country for the upcoming season. The Terrapins are taking to their top ranking quite nicely and they feel like they should look the part of the best team in the country.
College Spun shared a photo of the Terrapins’ court being worked on to have a new look for the 2015-16 season. It looks like they are really going all out and Matt Valdez, producer for The Sports Junkies, feels pretty confident about the team’s chances on their updated court this season.

Since moving into the XFINITY Center in 2002, the Terrapins have been pretty dominant on their home court. The team is 141-33 overall and 54-26 in conference. During their time with the ACC, opponents were known to have called it the toughest to play in the conference. The Terrapins hope to keep that mantra going in the Big Ten as they enter their second year with the conference.
The Terrapins open the 2015-16 season on November 13 when they host Mount St. Mary’s.
