Joe Paterno themed beer packaged and ready to be sold

The late, great Joe Paterno will always be remembered as one of the greatest football coaches of all time. Despite how his career at Penn State and life may have ended, there is no denying that Paterno is one of the best coaches to ever live.

The city of State College still obviously still loves the national championship winning coach. The city loves him so much that they have decided to create something to remember him. What do college students and college football fans love more than anything besides the game itself?

Beer, that’s what.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell shared a photo of the new JoePa themed beer named “409 Duquesne Lager”, symbolizing the coach’s record number of all-time wins. I mean, what better way to honor a coach?

Good job, State College. I’m not really a beer fan, but I just may have to make a trip up to Pennsylvania to find this beer. It looks like a terrific way to spend a Saturday watching a Nittany Lion game.

Penn State opens the 2015 season on September 5 at Temple and open the home season on September 12 against Buffalo.
