Minnesota, Oregon mascots have odd Twitter conversation

The most exciting part about college football games is obviously the action happening on the field. Halftime can usually be one of the more mundane things about a sporting event, but luckily, most schools have a student who steps up to take a spot on the sidelines in a mascot costume that can get pretty warm in the middle of September.

They do this to entertain the students and fans while the action is suspended between quarters and at halftime.

Oregon’s mascot, simply known as The Duck, is one of the best mascots in all of college football. On Friday night, The Duck had an odd Twitter exchange with Goldy Gopher, Minnesota’s mascot, well into early Saturday morning to keep the night owls entertained.

The conversation started when Goldy asked The Duck to retweet a photo of Minnesota-themed shoes to Nike Friday evening.

It spiraled out of control from there.

After seeing this exchange, the only thing that needs to happen is that Oregon and Minnesota needs to take the field together to create this epic meeting between the two mascots.
