Video: Gamecocks’ offense won annual egg toss at Spurrier’s

Egg tosses are one of the most classic party games in the history of any family cookout. While the South Carolina Gamecocks were probably avoiding the alcoholic influence that makes the game slightly more entertaining, they still played the annual contest at Steve Spurrier’s house on Saturday afternoon.

The South Carolina Instagram account shared the awesome contest that pits offense against defense. Of course, that is the only way to do it. This year, the offense took home the trophy.

The Gamecocks seemed pretty relaxed for the upcoming season. At least these guys still know how to compete. Let’s hope they compete a little better this year than in 2014.

At times, it was pretty difficult to watch with the Gamecocks and this year doesn’t bode too much better for the team. They have been picked to finish either sixth or dead last in the SEC East in many polls. Let’s see if they can prove everyone wrong this year.

The Gamecocks open the season on September 3 when they take on the North Carolina Tar Heels in Charlotte.
