Minnesota Vikings’ running back Adrian Peterson was easily one of the best running backs in the NFL a few seasons ago. Peterson nearly broke Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record all while winning MVP Award honors in 2012.
In 2014, Peterson sat out all but one game due to him being placed on the football exempt list for his involvement in a child abuse case. He is finally looking to get back on the field this year and he is feeling pretty confident about where he stands within the NFL.
According to a video shared by Complex, Peterson, who was not dressed out for the Vikings’ most recent preseason game against the Oakland Raiders, was asked about Kansas City Chiefs’ running back Jamaal Charles’s comments about him being the “LeBron James of the NFL.” Peterson had some pretty conflicting comments about which NBA superstar he “is” in the NFL.

“The one thing I always tell people is ‘If you don’t think that you are the best, how will you ever become the best?’.” Peterson said with a smile.
Maybe he is right about that, but I wonder how Lebron feels about this whole ordeal. Maybe Lebron could make a run in the NFL and show everyone that HE is the “Lebron James of the NFL.”
Wishful thinking, but it would be a good way to end that argument, right?
