Michigan basketball fans will be happy to know that one of their key pieces for the upcoming season is looking to slowly getting back to his old self. Senior guard Spike Albrecht is back on the court just five months after having hip surgery.
Albrecht shared a video of himself taking jump shots Friday evening on Instagram. That is a pretty big step to take after having hip surgery not too long ago.
Albrecht played through pain all throughout last season and it was determined that he needed hip surgery on both hips. He had them a month apart and he in now preparing for the upcoming season.
Last year, Albrecht averaged 7.5 points and 3.9 assists per game for the Wolverines. The lineup for Michigan looks to be pretty dangerous this year with seniors Caris LeVert and Albrecht as well as junior Derrick Walton. The three of them should help the team compete for a Big Ten Championship this year.
