Gamecocks to wear decals honoring SC shooting victims

The nation was rocked earlier this summer about the news of the shooting of nine people inside a South Carolina church in Charleston. It brought up the controversial argument of whether or not the Confederate Flag should be taken down from in front of the South Carolina state capitol building, which it was.

The football season is just around the corner and South Carolina Gamecocks are doing something very classy to honor the victims of this heinous act. College Spun shared a photo of the special helmet decals the team will wear throughout the season.

That is easily one of the coolest decals I have seen in a long time. This is a great way for the team to remember the lives of the Emanuel 9. Thursday’s game is going to be an emotional one as the Gamecocks take on North Carolina to open the season.
