The Ohio State Buckeye fandom is a serious one. It stretches across the state of Ohio and into many parts of the country. It even affects professional athletes themselves.
Boston Red Sox first baseman Travis Shaw has a Buckeye leaf sticker on the end of his bat. A picture began floating around and he took to Twitter to clarify exactly what was on the end of his bat.

At least we know where his loyalty stands at the end of the day. I just wish some more professional athletes would show their pride in their favorite schools or alma maters like Shaw does.
That would really help make the game feel a lot more real.
