Michigan takes shot at Michigan State in recruiting graphic

Everyone likes to talk about the Michigan/Ohio State rivalry, but no one really recognizes the Michigan/Michigan State rivalry as “big”. However, it should be. The two teams absolutely hate each other because of them being in-state opponents.

Their rivalry grew stronger with the most recent shot the Wolverines took at the Spartans. College Spun shared a picture of a recruiting graphic that the Wolverines made on Tuesday and it was actually a pretty harsh jab at their rivals. The graphic features uncommitted four-star cornerback Jaylen Kelly-Powell from Detroit and says “The best players in Michigan go to Michigan.”

I have to point out two things here. Of the top ten players in the state of Michigan in the class of 2016, only two have gone to Michigan and two have gone to Michigan State. The other five have been split between Ohio State, Penn State, USC, Alabama, and Louisville.

The second thing? Michigan State has won six of the last seven games against Michigan, which proves that either the players just aren’t that good or they haven’t been going to Michigan.
