Mike Riley reveals suspended Nebraska players

In mid-August, Nebraska head coach Mike Riley said in a coaches’ meeting that five players would be suspended for the first game of the 2015 season. We didn’t know what players would be missing the game, but we knew that one of the players is a starter for the team.

Riley revealed the five players who will miss the game against BYU on Thursday night.

Three of the players are guys that would provide a big boost for the team.

Rose-Ivey is one of the Cornhuskers’ best defensive players while Rose was expected to provide much needed depth for the defensive backfield. It looks like the team is going to have to look elsewhere for that depth.

The Cornhuskers are scheduled to kick their game off against the Cougars at 3:30 on Saturday.
