Good news, New England Patriots fans. The DeflateGate saga can be put to rest and one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL will not be forced to sit on the sidelines for four weeks following a suspension that many deemed as unfair.
Early Thursday morning, U.S. District Judge Richard Berman handed down his ruling and determined that Brady’s four-game suspension would be nullified.
As a result, Brady is eligible to play in Week 1 of the regular season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

There is no word on whether the NFL will file an appeal.
This is a major win for Brady, who claimed his innocence all along, and the Patriots as they prepare for their Super Bowl defense. Brady and the NFL could not reach a settlement agreement during the grueling process, but in the end Brady gets what he wanted all along.
This ruling may not change public perception of Brady and the Patriots, but all that matters in New England is that their star quarterback will be on the field when they open the season.
