In a game that has been mostly dominated by defense, the South Carolina Gamecocks seemed to have finally gotten their offense going. That was thanks mostly to running back Shon Carson.
The Gamecocks were trailing 13-10 when Carson took a sweep handoff to the right and raced 48 yards to the endzone. The run gave his team their first lead of the game at 17-13 with just over twelve minutes left in the game.

This game has been entertaining all night long and should finish off quite well. In an interesting bit of news, South Carolina quarterback Conner Mitch went to the locker room following the touchdown and North Carolina quarterback Marquise Williams went down with an apparent upper body injury on a third down on the ensuing Tar Heels’ drive.
