J.J. Watt poses with ‘best football player on the planet’ for picture

Despite Aaron Rodgers being named the NFL MVP last season, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt claims that he is not the best player in the world. Actually, he went a completely different direction and said that someone that doesn’t even play in the NFL is the best football player in the world.

USA TODAY’s For the Win shared a photo of Watt and Barcelona soccer star Lionel Messi hanging out at a Texans’ practice Saturday morning. Watt called him the “best football player on the planet” and making fans all over the world happy by calling the sport by its correct name.

Messi got a pretty good deal out of the picture. He took home a signed Watt jersey after beating Bolivia in a friendly match-up at BBVA Stadium in Houston 7-0.

Two of the best athletes in the world together in one picture? Awesome.
