In what could be a big blow to the Pittsburgh Panthers, leading rusher James Conner went down in the second quarter of their game against the Youngstown State Penguins. It looked to be a knee injury as he hobbled off to the sideline and he will miss the rest of the game.
Conner was having a big day for the Panthers before his injury. He went for 77 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries in the game. The Panthers currently lead the Penguins 24-13 at the half.
Conner had 1,765 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2014 while winning the ACC Player of the Year award. Hopefully, for the Panthers, he won’t miss too much time this season.
