Duke visits White House, meets President Obama

In what is a tradition with collegiate and professional sports champions in the United States, the Duke Blue Devils visited the White House and the opportunity to meet President Obama. The team seemed like they had a ton of fun during their once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Bleacher Report shared photos of the team’s trip to Washington D.C. This was the second time in five years that the Duke program visited the White House, but, for the players, this was their first time getting to meet the President.

Mike Krzyzewski seemed to have a close relationship with President Obama as he joked around with how young he still looks.

Coach K even made a formal invitation to the President. The invitation regarded Obama attending Duke’s fantasy camp once his current and final term is up in a few years. The President was quick to respond to that with a funny jab.

The team even presented Obama with his very own custom Duke jersey for him to hang up on the White House wall or wear it to his next press conference, whatever he decides to do.
