Mississippi State wants world record for cowbell ringing

As any fan of any team that has played Mississippi State on the road, you know about the cowbells and how annoying they can be. The Bulldog fan base is one of the loudest when it comes to ringing the cowbells, but now they want to be recognized for it.

According to College Football Talk, Mississippi State wants to set a Guinness World Record for cowbell ringing. When I first read this, I thought “Oh, God! They play LSU this week”. Fortunately, this record attempt will be happening at a pep rally and not during an actual game.

The event is called Cowbell Yell and it will take place Thursday night, just days before the team welcomes in the Tigers for their SEC opener. Right now, there is no world record for cowbell ringing, so it won’t be very hard for the fan base to set it.

Maybe an Ole Miss fan will troll the Bulldogs before the event on Thursday by calling Guinness to set the record. It’s always fun to break a record, but it’s even better to be first.
