Bruno Mars to perform at Super Bowl 50?

No matter who the NFL gets to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, people are going to complain. Last year, Taylor Swift fans complained because her mortal enemy Katy Perry was on the stage singing and dancing her butt off with Left Shark. A few years ago, people complained about Madonna doing that show, mostly because she looked like she needed to use a walker.

There’s been one act over the last few years that people didn’t really hate at all and that was Bruno Mars at Super Bowl XLVIII. He absolutely rocked the stage and even brought on the the Red Hot Chili Peppers for a bit of nostalgia and awesomeness.

According to Pro Football Talk, the NFL has apparently asked Mars to return for Super Bowl 50.

If there is something for people to complain about, it will be Mars doing the show twice in the span of three years. If he accepts the gig, I’d expect to hear all kinds of comparisons made between Mars and the New England Patriots, aside from the cheating part, but people may even bring a conspiracy theory into the mix as well.

Mars had about ten minutes to perform at MetLife Stadium, so he only performed a fraction of his hit songs on the night. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and I wouldn’t mind seeing him rock the stage at Santa Clara next February. I just hope he is able to top the nostalgia of Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot from Perry’s show.

Knowing Mars, he won’t disappoint.
