I think I now know why the NC State Wolf Pack have been getting nods from some of the nation’s best high school basketball recruits. Head coach Mark Gottfried knows exactly what he is doing when it comes to recruiting and knows how to do it in style.
Gottfried is constantly out on the road this time of year trying to recruit players for the upcoming class to their team, like many other coaches. According to CBS Sports, Gottfried prefers not to drive when he visits his recruits.
When he went to visit the nation’s top point guard for 2016 Dennis Smith Jr., Gottfried landed a helicopter in the backyard of his school. The funny thing is that Smith’s high school is in Fayetteville, North Carolina, about an hour’s drive from the university.

Gottfried also did the same for 2016 power forward Bam Adebayo, who lives in High Point, North Carolina, which is about the same distance from the campus. Gottfried made these trips with assistant coach Orlando Early.

These two are already heavily favoring the Wolf Pack and I think arriving like this to visit the players only further solidified their choices.
The Wolf Pack is going to be dangerous over the next few basketball seasons.
