Last week, Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema called out the Ohio State Buckeyes for having a weak schedule. He talked about how the Buckeyes wouldn’t be able to go undefeated or 11-1 in the SEC West.
On Saturday, Bielema’s words came back to bite him in the butt as his Razorbacks fell to Toledo 16-12.
On Monday morning, CBS football analyst Gary Danielson apppeared on The Dan Patrick Show via telephone. Danielson, who usually calls SEC games alongside Verne Lundquist, talked about how Bielema should keep quiet in the future and even went on to compare him to a loudmouthed politician.
Obviously, Danielson is just one of the many people who have been giving Bielema tons of heat, but he is surely one of the few big name analysts to speak this ill of the head coach. I mean, I guess Bielema deserves what he gets. You don’t go running your mouth about the defending national champions when your team can’t even beat a traditionally weaker team in the same state.
Let’s hope he keeps his mouth shut leading up to the Razorbacks’ matchup with the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday.
