Video: J.J. Redick working out at Duke, shooting lights out

J.J. Redick is always going to be remembered as one of the greatest basketball players in the history of the Duke Blue Devils. He helped lead his team to three Sweet Sixteen appearances and a Final Four appearance in his four seasons with the team.

In the 2004-05 season, he was named the ACC Player of the Year and the Adolph Rupp National Player of the Year, while having his jersey retired in 2007. He is back in Durham hitting some offseason workouts before the NBA season tips off in a few months.

College Spun had the video of him working out Tuesday morning and he is still as electric from behind the three-point line as he was during his college days.

While the Blue Devils have some very good athletes this year, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind having him back on the court for a few games this season. Redick did a lot for the Blue Devils as he set the tone for what kind of excellence the team expects.

While it’s unlikely that anyone will be able to match what he did for the team, the current and future Blue Devils sure have something to strive for whenever they take the court at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
