2017 Michigan State commit wants to wear dad’s number

-

Andre Rison is one of the best wide receivers to strap up for the Michigan State Spartans. His son Hunter committed to the Spartans earlier this year as a member of the 2017 recruiting class and now he is already dreaming of when he finally hits the field for his dad’s alma mater.

According to College Spun, Hunter is wanting to wear his dad’s number 1 jersey whenever he gets on campus in East Lansing. He tweeted a picture of his dad Tuesday night and was basically asking head coach Mark Dantonio if he could bring the number back.

Number 1 hasn’t been worn since Charles Rogers wore it in 2003. The number hasn’t been retired, but it hasn’t seen the Michigan State field for a long time. Hunter is hoping to bring that tradition back.
