Video: Arkansas State runs ‘Hide the Midget’ play perfectly

Trick plays are one great way to keep fans entertained in a rather boring game. The Arkansas State Red Wolves pulled off one of the more interesting trick plays as they took on the Ball State Cardinals.

The trick play came late in the first half as running back Terrance Hollingsworth hid behind the offensive line. Quarterback Fredi Knighton faked a handoff to a motioning wide receiver and slipped it to Hollingsworth.

This play is called “Hide the Midget” mostly because of Hollingsworth’s size as he stands at five-foot-nine and 175 pounds. The play ended going for about 30 yards.

What a great play. I can only hope this is just the beginning of the trick plays this college football season.
