Jameis Winston now has third-most passing yards by a rookie in NFL history

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took a chance on Jameis Winston with the number one overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft earlier this year, despite the off-field troubles. He has certainly cleaned up his act and has showed exactly why he was the top pick.

Not only did he help the Buccaneers triple their win total from 2014, he did so by being one of the best passers in the league this year. During the team’s regular season finale against the Carolina Panthers, he moved up the list of rookies with the most passing yards as he now sits at number three just behind Andrew Luck and Cam Newton.

He has certainly put the Buccaneers back on the right path to success and it’s pretty clear that he is going to have a terrific career in the NFL.
