South Carolina men and women’s basketball teams set SEC record

Since the 2011 season, the South Carolina women’s basketball team has been one of the best in the country. They have made the NCAA Tournament every year and have won at least 25 games each season.

They are off to another hot start as they are 13-0 and ranked in the top five once again. However, the men’s team has been just as successful as they are also off a surprising 13-0 start, which helped the teams set an impressive SEC record.

The women’s team defeated Arkansas on Sunday, while the men defeated Memphis on Saturday. That put them at a combined 26-0 start, which was reported as an SEC record.

The men’s team has been very improved under fourth year coach Frank Martin and they look to be a favorite in the SEC this season. They haven’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2004, but it certainly looks like both teams are on their way to the Big Dance and possibly even more this year.
